Upgrade your existing CASA-issued RePL Multi Rotor (sub 7kg or 25kg) to sub 150kg (model specific).

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a CASA-Issued Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) Multi Rotor (sub 150kg, model specific). If you do not hold an English Language Proficiency (ELP), we will assist you in obtaining one. Wicked Copters also issues you with a Certificate of Attainment.

This course is approved by CASA and compliant with the new syllabus defined in the Part 101 MOS.

Theory Component:

  • Participant Package: You will be sent a package containing all the materials you require

As you currently hold a CASA-Issued Multi Rotor Remote Pilot Licence, you already have all the RePL theoretical knowledge required.

Therefore, CASA does not require you to undertake the RePL theory again. However, as legislation changes we may cover some theory in person.

Practical Component:

  • Delivery Method: Face to face / In-person
    • Ensuring compliance with all COVID restrictions as applicable
  • Components Completed:
    • Theory: Manufacuture and model specific use of all RPA systems, including: mapping, spraying, spreading and an overview of swarming.
    • Practical: Flying to achieve competency and pass the flight test. Note: you need to prove that you are an “Involved RPA Participant” by providing a logbook of 5 hours on any drone since obtaining your initial RePL.
  • What to bring:
    • Just appropriate clothing
    • We supply everything else required
  • What RPAs (aircraft / drones) will I fly and in what modes?
    • RPAs: Training on the model specific RPA (Medium RePL) and strive to ensure you get to experience a variety of conditions (as possible)
    • Flight Modes: You will fly in a variety of flight modes
    • You will also be taught about automated flight, role equipment (payloads / cameras /etc) and swarming operations (as applicable).
  • Student Ratios: We aim to keep the classes small to enhance learning
    • Generally there will be two Instructors
    • No more than 2 students per Instructor for flying

The RPA Upgrade training course provides students with a valid RePL (sub 7kg or 25kg) a pathway to upgrade to the 150kg category (of the same type) and is focused on the operation of the specific RPA. This course has been approved by CASA to comply with the 2023 Part 101 MOS requirements.

There is no minimum age to hold an RePL. All RePL holders also require an English Language Proficiency (ELP).

You must hold an existing CASA-Issued Multi Rotor Remote Pilot Licence sub 7kg or 25kg.

This CASA-Issued Multi Rotor Remote Pilot Licence (RePL Medium) takes 3 day to complete. This course upgrades your sub 7kg or 25kg Multi Rotor RePL to include the model specific Medium RePL (Multi Rotor).
